February Clinic/workshop

Foundations of Classical Fencing

Fencing Master Adam Adrian Crown will teach another clinic, to be held at Salle d'Armes du Lion in Ithaca, New York on Saturday, February 17th, 2007 from 2:00-6:00pm.  It is intended for adults and is appropriate for any skill level, beginners included.

Maître Crown will work with a maximum of 10 students in order to ensure the
optimum individual attention. Clinic tuition is $60.00 per person.

Adam Crown received his Fencing Master Diploma under Maître Jean-Jacques Gillet in
1980. Since that time, he has been an out-spoken champion of traditional or "classical"
fencing. A leading voice in the classical fencing field, Maître Crown has maintained the
integrity of the art and science of the sword against the assault of what he calls "illogical"
rule changes made by the increasingly divergent "sport" fencing organizations.
"Classical fencing is simply real swordplay," he says. "Why do anything else?"
